By using Cleo ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. Cleo is provided by Buildware ("we", "us"). If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the Service.
Description
Cleo is a developer tool that uses AI to help you edit React applications. You select elements in your browser, describe changes in natural language, and Cleo generates code modifications for your source files.
Account & Access
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account
- You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or engage in abuse
- You must be 13 or older to use the Service
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Cleo to:
- Generate malicious code or malware
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing through technical means
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
- Share account credentials or resell access
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws
AI-Generated Code
Code generated by Cleo is provided as-is. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated code may contain errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities
- You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating all generated code before using it in production
- We do not guarantee that generated code will be fit for any particular purpose
- You retain ownership of your source code and any modifications you accept
Billing & Credits
- Free tier includes limited credits for AI usage
- Paid subscriptions renew monthly unless cancelled
- Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods
- On-demand usage (if enabled) is billed based on actual AI token consumption
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to your source code. By using Cleo:
- We do not claim ownership of your code or AI-generated modifications
- The Cleo application, brand, and underlying technology remain our property
Disclaimers & Limitations
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
Service Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also update these terms, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
Termination
You may stop using Cleo at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that should survive (like liability limitations) will remain in effect.
